Sports Massage

Sports massage is the manipulation of soft body tissue in a mindful, preventative and corrective way to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. It is used to help prevent injuries, to prepare the body for athletic activity and maintain it in optimal condition, and to help athletes recover from workouts and injuries.

Swedish Massage

Swedish massage is the most popular form of massage. This is the first form of massage taught before going into Aromatherapy and Sports Massage. This is a classic treatment which represents the western standard for massage. The five main techniques used in Swedish massage is stroking and gliding, kneading, rubbing, tapping or pounding and vibration are probably what spring to mind when you think about a "typical" massage.

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is a truly holistic therapy which uses essential oils in treatments to strive for physical, mental and spiritual health equilibrium. The body’s innate ability to heal itself is awakened and persuasion encourages a return from a state of imbalance or ‘dis-ease’ to a state of balance or health. The healing process occurs irrespective of whether the disharmony is manifesting itself on a seemingly physical level (for example a headache) or on an emotional level (for example depression). Aromatherapy is not only aimed at relieving and eliminating health problems but it is also very much concerned with the prevention of disease and promotion of healthy living.
