I didn’t know much, if anything, about the need for or benefits of this type of massage but post-surgery it is one of the most important things you can do to aid your recovery. Theo combined lymph drainage with more traditional massage techniques to release tension and soothe knotted muscles. The benefits were felt almost immediately. My upper back, which had become incredibly tight, felt immeasurable better after just one session, and bruising from the surgery also started to dissipate after a few days.
I had a 12-session course which Theo adapted to my needs, starting primarily with lymph drainage and moving on to incorporate more deep tissue work as the weeks went on. Theo always checked progress and noted any areas of concern ensuring that what he was doing was always exactly what needed to be done.

Theo has worked with us at The Family Centre on several occasions. Initially during our family holiday play scheme, offering the mums and dad's a much deserved Aromatherapy Massage. More recently Theo provided aromatherapy Massage as part of the ' Communities for Health' initiative. Funding for the project was acquired from Croydon Council on behalf of the department of health. The aim of the 6 week project was to take forward thinking in the public health white paper ' choosing health' in order to help towards a reduction in mental ill health and stress, together with increasing general health, and well being and building individuals self esteem. Theo's contribution towards our aim proved invaluable, his professional manner and expertise allowed our service users to take advantage of this worthwhile opportunity.
